1.In General

  Beijing Radix Rhodiolae Technology Development Co., Ltd is a newly founded high-tech enterprise granted by Beijing Scientific Technology Committee.It is a body of collecting scientific & technological development, production, sale and service. Our company have developed the serial ‘Shenglian’ products of Radix Rhodiolae tea (finely selected tea), capsule, instant granule, tablet, and ‘Yikouchun’ wine, using a kind of seldom seen plant ‘Rhodiola sachalinensis’ which grows on the high cold zone of Changbai Mount of 1700 to 2300 meters above sea level as the main material.

  In 1960s,Kirov Mitirary Medical College of the former Soviet Union found Radix Rhodiolae in the process of seeking sthenia agents. They defined the Rhodiola sachalinensis as an adaptagenlike drug and considered that it has the effects of enhancing immunity superior to Radix Ginseng but no side effect of hot and dry feeling.Professor Sharagykov of Tomusk Medical University considered that administration of Radix Rhodiolae will fill up the body with energy in the case of that the body could not recover from fatigue, showing an obvious effect without toxicity and addiction.Therefore, they prepared health foods using extracts of Radix Rhodiolae for astronauts, pilots, athletes and so on.Rhodiola sachalinensis is also used among the people as a sthenia for the treatment of aged heart failure, sedative and sexual impotence,etc.

  There is also a long history of utilizing Rhodiola sachalinensis in our country.There are detailed descriptions about it in `Shen Nong`s Herbal Claddic`，`Compendium of  Materia medica`and `Pharmacopoeia of  the People`s Republic of  China` and `Modern Practical Herbal`，etc. Looking back on ancient Qing Dtnadty, the Emperor Kangxi reached the Northwest of our country in the war of putting down the rebellion of Tsaualabutan splitting homeland. He rewarded the victorious army with Radix Rhodiolae tea and wine other than the hot and dry Radox Ginseng to diminish fatigue and prevent cold. Emperoe Kangxi conferred the Radix Rhodiolae as an immortal herb. Every ancient emperor accepted Rhodiola sachalinensis as an article of tribute and prohibited the common people to collect it and eat it.

  Since 1980s, our country deepened research on the pharmacological effects of Radix Rhodiolae.Radix Rhodiolae was regarded as a very seldom seen nourishing agent. 2: Constituents:

3:Pharmacological Effects:

(i).Adaptagen-like effects and bi-directional modulating effects. 

  Radix Rhodiolae has the bi-directional modulating effects of stimulating and suppressing central nervous system. It can recover the stimulated or suppressed brain waves to normal state, and restore the deviation of physiological functions due to environmental factors(such as raising and decreasing of leucocytes, hypertension and hypotension) to normal levels.

(ii).Anti-hypoxia, anti-fatigue and anti-aging effects.

  Hypoxia is the reason for many diseases.Radix Rhodiolae can decrease oxygen consumption of the body, promote the tolerance of cerebral tissues to iron-deficiency hypoxia, and strengthen the resistance of cardiac muscles to hypoxia.
